earthling suit

January 18, 2006

When searching through the USPTO web site I found a very strange patent which specifies a non-gender specific body-suit. Specified as an "Universal earth suit" it will accomodate either sex, and also has mechanism's for "relieving" oneself when the need arises. The patent was issued to an individual, and not a corporation so I doubt it's a preview of what we'll be seeing on the runway.

onadayak

I'm back from Sri Lanka, and I have a large amount of video and pictures from my trip; I will post them as soon as I can.

A few words about my trip, Habitat and Sri Lanka. The people of Sri Lanka have to be some of the most beautiful people inside and out that I have ever met. Working with Habitat is a wonderful experience that everyone should participate in once in their life. I didn't want to leave the country or stop working with Habitat, and I am seriously considering working with them again very soon for a much longer trip.

p.s. the title of this post "onadayak" is the Sinhalese word for "whatever", which I learned from some of the local guys I worked with. Not sure about the spelling, but it works phonetically.

sri lanka baby

January 5, 2006

Off to Sri Lanka in about 5 hours...and like usual before big trips, I can't fall asleep and have resorted to consuming some sort of substance in the hopes that it might coax my mind to relax. Most likely it has the opposite effect as I have been reading in dp the curriculum.

Got my reading list of naked lunch, the world is flat, and gun, with occasional music which I found in my apartment and could very well belong to one of my roomates or one of the other frequent visitors to my apartment.

I am armed with plenty of gear for documenting the entire trip, and I will post it upon my return.
